Saus.Guru’s Passion & Liquorice is a unique, distinctive, and remarkable sauce that offers an original mix of flavors that will surprise you. It’s inspired by Scandinavian (BBQ) cuisine, where cooking with liquorice (drop) and anise is a highly valued flavor combination. Although drop is considered a heritage product of the Netherlands, its flavor components are not commonly used as an ingredient in savory dishes.

Saus.Guru’s Passion & Liquorice is also known as “The Hoisin Sauce of the North” and provides an opportunity for the rest of Europe to discover this Scandinavian taste sensation. The word passion refers to the fruity and sour taste of passion fruit, which replaces the lesser-known Seabuckthorn berry that is commonly used in Scandinavia. Together with liquorice, herbs, and spices, it creates a unique and beautiful flavor harmony.
